So much for the Age of Enlightenment; so much for rational thought because they are taking back their country even though the country that they are taking back never even existed in the first place. I guess we should expect nothing less from those that believe in fairytales and folklore and by this I mean the bastardization of just how this country was formed.
We only want to know the good stuff and never ever talk about the bad old days; the dark days that come and go like the Santa Ana winds. But in remembering and shouting about the so called history of our nation we have in fact twisted the truth, though this is nothing new to the historians of the world.

You know what; fuck you and your website. Maybe I am not the best writer in the world but at least I have all of my cards laying face up for everyone to see. Do you need me to quantify it for you?
We are all waving around these ones and zeros and saying, “Look what I have to say!” and “Me, me, me”. So it is like the real world but in the cyber world.
So your website has some gay ass ad program that you may or may not get a few cents off of. BIG FUCKING DEAL! Do you realize that you do not even pay attention to them and that they focus on stupid key words and put up adds that CONTRADICT everything that you just wrote about?
And then there are the pop ups. Sure, sure any one worth their weight in gold can block them but why do you have them? More revenue for your tiny pockets; so let me get this straight, you are writing and venting and bitching about the haves and the rich and the whateverthefuck else you want to call them and wait . . .for . . .it . . .YOU ARE JUST LIKE THEM?
One: Get better service for your ads fucko.
Two: You’re not a writer if your only concern is making money.
Three: You’re an idiot and you have an ugly baby.
In closing, you get two things when you come here and they are brutal honesty in the form of my unbiased opinion and no fucking ads or spam.
So yes, fuck you and your website.
Assbag.

Hacked by Insanity – Prologue to Chapter I
(Read as subtext)
Do we remember at what point we actually broke free from the collective? Can we say that it was like a wave crashing upon a rocky shoreline or was it as slow as a tortoise or just somewhere in between this run on sentence?
Emanon always found it humorously ironic that those that taught us to be self-sufficient and to think for ourselves were the first to show disdain and disappointment in our behavior; behavior of course for us merely being ourselves and becoming comfortable in our own skins. This is not to place blame on anyone or anything, it is simply there to point out the contradiction, one of many which life has to offer.
He often sat under the red maple in the front yard reading books in the summer. With not many close friends what else was he to do. Emanon was well past the age of needing “toys” to play with and he was also comfortable with who he was well before his late teens. So books it was. Now this is not to say he was a bookworm because that was not the case either. Some days he hated words altogether for they would haunt him in his sleep. Of course he would never tell anyone this because they may not understand.
It was on one of those days that things began to change for him; he began to think and question things he had always assumed were the truth because someone had told him that they were. Though it would be years or maybe even a lifetime before he would know where this road would take him, Emanon chose then and there that this would be the road he would go down. As I looked back through his hundreds of notebooks before I decided to write this in his memory, it seems he was destined to follow this path and what a long, lonely path it would be for him.
They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, which is true but what they fail to mention is that what doesn’t kill you may in fact kill you at a later date. Both would be the case with our black sheep of a hero. Relax, take a breath, there is no need to worry, Emanon lived a long and happy life and in some ways he is still with us. Let the story tell itself and all that is clouded with eventually become clear. And yes, at some point there will be a story or maybe there already is one and I am just being obtuse.

“If I lose the light of the sun, I will write by candlelight, moonlight, no light. If I lose paper and ink, I will write in blood on forgotten walls. I will write always. I will capture nights all over the world and bring them to you.” *~ *Henry Rollins
I may have a limited audience but I still have a voice. Obviously this is mostly my fault for I do not advertise. But if you are in advertising you should find a new line of work or maybe consider suicide by cop. That being said, the quote above sums up nicely why people, who are writers, write: because we have to. This isn’t some sort of lame rationalization, it is a truth. Read more…

We should get rid of all the major news networks and form them into one national news service. We could call this news service the VNN or the Vetted News Network. This way there would be no reason to think that our information was controlled and manipulated. But this is a bit too nationalistic for my taste so we shall leave things they way they are for now, as long as you know we can change it any time we want to. Read more…

Missing Parts – I Prologize
Once upon a time there was a planet full of people; All sorts of human beings running from here to there searching for something and looking for nothing. They loved to build things and then just watch them crumble to dust; they loved to kill things and then just watch them rot. There was definitely something missing from these beings but no one ever quite knew what and of course very few seemed to actually care.
How many layers of dirt cover the Earth and just like that, the Tootsie-Pop was born. For every layer of soil there was a dead and almost forgotten society that kept on repeating the same mistakes over and over again until one day, they did it all again; except for one small boy.
Why?
Because he knew that there was something else and that this life was bullshit. He knew that there was no one watching over us and protecting us for he witnessed evil things almost every single moment of his existence and no one came to stop them. He listened to the sad almost robot like responses that this was merely a test and it was all part of some master plan. But to him it was just a game; a child with an ant farm who got bored one day and just walked away never to look back, leaving us here to fester.
Unfortunately for our protagonist, it never seemed to be a good time to speak up. Life happens when you are busy making plans they say and this was only part of the problem. No one wanted to listen and when they did pretend to listen they merely thought that he was angry and jaded; or lost and needed to be found. Saved would be a good word that they liked to use as well.
We should give him a name but then again why bother since he had long forgotten it himself so for now we shall just call him Emanon.
He use to recite T.S. Eliot poems in his head thinking that they would save the world and when that did not work he did the same thing with quoting Carl Sagan. But even he did not understand that so he gave up for a while because trying to save the world from idiocy was taxing and tiring work to say the least.
“The “what should be” never did exist, but people keep trying to live up to it. There is no “what should be,” there is only what is.” ~ L. Bruce

We worry too much. We have become a world of people who die too soon because they are fucking worrying about shit that is never going to happen and if it does well there is nothing you can do about it except crawl under your desk (because we all know that this will save you from the nuclear fallout).
I am guilty of it; you are guilty of it and if you say you are not well then you are a liar and that is another blog for another day because I hate liars. Having been one myself in my teenage years I should know. Anyhow back to worrying . . . Read more…

I am apathetic to your mediocrity. Better yet, I refuse to acknowledge it or your existence any longer. I am not even sure which the bigger enemy of man is: mediocrity or political correctness? I have to admit though; it does seem to be leaning towards mediocrity. Then again they do seem to blend together quite well don’t you think?

The more things change . . .

the more they stay the same…

I am so tired of high school. Hell I was tired of it back in 1990 but it is really starting to get old now. Have I changed over the years? Of course I have, who hasn’t but if you say you haven’t for good or ill then you are lying because we all change on some level, even if it is hopey, changy change. See this is one thing I resent about public school or any school really, they prepare you for NOTHING. Now this does not imply that they do not teach because that they do, some better than others but yes at least they teach.

Dear Reader(s),
I am sorry I have not written/posted in 14 days but I have been busy moving. So to entertain you during this pause, I offer this inane rambling that I composed about a month ago in about 5 minutes. Enjoy or not.
Love,
The Misanthropic Optimist
PS ~ This is un-edited and there may or may not be spelling/grammar mistakes but if there are you can bite me. That’s funny because it is foreshadowing.
Ignoring the poorly written, over hyped Twilight Saga all together is an excellent thing. It is not in my book even able to be called prose. That being said, this, the beginning decade of the 21st century would be a wonderful time for vampires to come out in to our society. Sadly they are purely fictional because if they weren’t we could hire them to clean up all of the messes that the human race has made. We could use them as a form of population control. This may sound cold but our world is dying and we are the ones killing it.
