So many things but not enough time, though there is enough space, so I would have to say that my annoyance of the week is the Kindle and/or the Sony eReader. Hear me out before you judge me or judge me and then tune me out.
I love to kill trees; I crave the smell of burning wood, therefore I am a Neolithic pig. But seriously, I love books about as much as I love the words in them. There are only two things I love more than books but that is well documented here and every other corner of the interwebs. Something is being lost and it may never be found again: books. Be it hardback or paperback, pulp or gothic, it is all turning to code. No more ink; no more paper. The smell of an old leather bound novel and its gold edged pages will be just stories that future generations tell their great-grand babies and no one cares because they think that they are saving the world.

Little pig, little pig, let me in. Green Jell-O should come to mind but then they had to change it to Jelly. I am all for capitalism and keeping the wheels greased so everything doesn’t come to a screeching halt but when will the construction end? I drive by these new McMansion developments everyday and half, if not more, are EMPTY and still for sale. They’ve been for sale so long that they no longer even look new.
Questions but no answers, well, no acceptable answer anyhow. I would like one that doesn’t sound like self-serving bullshit, which would be nice. It will never happen but a man can dream right? Here is one of my many questions: “Why would you buy a three-hundred and fifty thousand dollar house on less than a 1/8 of an acre?” Then throw in the fact there they a towns within towns, you know, the old, “Associations” thing. You can’t do this, you can’t do that. But what does it really matter when all that is in the house is a pillow and a case of beer because you bit off more than you could chew?
