Just Let It Go

How many times have you been told that? Okay maybe not in those exact words but you catch my drift right? We could throw out the old “we can agree to disagree” but meanwhile, back at the ranch there is still a huge Elephant in the center of the room. I do not want to fix the world, nor do I wish to change it, I merely want people to think in general. Have we become so polarized that we can not see anything at all, even if it is right in front of our very noses?

We all want to be heard; we all want our thoughts and beliefs to be respected. I can not force anyone to think like me nor can they do the same to me. For Those That Didn’t Make It Home

null

I sold my field and bought a gun
Told to fight a battle, which no one ever won
Blood ran in the water, it followed the setting sun
In the trench I sit, until this hell is done

null

We left our families in the name of a higher cause
Attacking with a vengeance, a pack of wolves on four paws
Men were really boys back then, beside me, they broke like straws
Freedom is in the mind my friend, not in governments controlling laws

null

They came home in boxes, lined up row by row
There is a field of white crosses where truly I think only grass should grow
Not in vain I say to thee but loss of life should not be quick, but very, very slow
Duty calls to some or it can be a big forced hand; either way, how were any of them know?
